Terms and Conditions of all Warranties

At Remington Auto Salvage, Inc., we specialize in quality, recycled automotive parts. All parts have a 3 month “parts only” warranty. We also offer the best warranties in the industry, with up to 3 Year Unlimited Milage Parts and Labor Warranties on all parts and Limited Lifetime Warranties on select other parts. All warranty claims are processed by Remington Auto Salvage, Inc., NOT a third-party entity.

Please reference your invoice for the exact warranty that was purchased with this part. We reserve the right to repair or replace any part, before a refund is given. Warranty work may be done by a mechanic of our choice. Maximum labor rate paid for licensed mechanics is $120/hr on a 3 Year Warranty and $80/hr on 1 Year Warranties. Unlicensed mechanics will be paid at a rate of $55/hr for both the 1 year and 3 year warranties.  Maximum labor payout WILL NOT exceed 1 ½ times the base price of the part. This warranty does not cover towing, diagnostics, rental car, or loss of wages. Gaskets and seals are not covered under warranty, and it is recommended that pump seals, intake gaskets, oil pan gaskets, and front and rear main seals are replaced prior to installation. Transmission filters are removed for inspection and quality control and must be replaced with new. Transmission lines must be properly flushed. Transmissions must be filled to proper levels with correct manufacturer suggested fluids. This is a one-time replacement warranty. In the event of a warranty claim an additional extended warranty can be purchased with the replacement part provided.

EXTENDED SERVICE AGREEMENT AND LIMITED WARRANTY

THIS EXTENDED SERVICE AGREEMENT AND LIMITED WARRANTY COVERS THE FOLLOWING:

 *ENGINE:

Engine long block assembly, including all lubricated parts, i.e. rings, pistons, pins, crank shaft and main bearings, the connecting rods, and rod bearings, camshaft bearings, timing chain gears, rocker arms, valve springs, valve guides, valve seats, valve push rods, valve lifters, and oil pump. Additionally, the engine head (s), engine block and cylinder barrels will be covered if they are solely as a result of the mechanical failure of on or more of the internal lubricated components specified above. The Cooling system must be flushed and in good working order including cooling fans. Accessory items including but not limited to electrical components of all types (distributor, alternator and all sensors and electrical control devises), fuel systems (Including supercharges, turbo chargers, fuel injection system (s), fuel pump), water pump, thermostat, soft plugs, manifolds, oil pan, and valve covers, pollution controls, gaskets, seals, filters, mounts linkage and fluids are not covered by this agreement.

*TRANSFER CASES:

All internal lubricated parts contained within the transfer case. The transfer case itself will be covered if damage solely as a result of the mechanical failure of one or more of the internal lubricated components contained within the transfer case. Integral Transmissions must be flushed including all lines, coolers and replaced all filters. Accessory Items, including but not limited to, U-joints, electrical components, linkage, seals, gaskets, mounts or fluids are not covered by this Agreement.

*DIFFERENTIAL:

All internal lubricated parts contained within the drive axle housing case. The drive axle housing case itself will be covered if damaged solely as a result of the mechanical failure of one or more of the internal lubricated components of the drive axle housing. Accessory items, including but not limited to, backing plates, all brake system components, cables, controls, linkage, vents, pumps, U-joints, electrical controls, mounts, seals, gaskets, and fluids are not covered by this Agreement.

*TRANSMISSION (Automatic or Standard):

All internal lubricated parts contained within the transmission case. The transmission case itself will be covered if damaged solely as a result of mechanical failure of one ore more of the internal lubricated components contained within the transmission case. The complete hydraulic system must be flushed including integral transfer case, oil cooler, lines and new filter (s) installed. Accessory items, including but not limited to, modulators, governors, electrical controls, linkage, mounts, seals, gaskets, and fluids are not covered by this Agreement.

COVERAGE AND LIMITATIONS

Subject to the limitations stated in this agreement, Remington Auto Salvage, Inc. agrees (at its election) to reimburse the customer, or to repair, or replaces a covered component if the covered component fails as a result of one or more of the internal lubricated parts within the component stated warranty period from the date of purchase, while the component is being used under the conditions and in the manner specified by its original manufacturer.  USED COMPONENTS: The customer acknowledges that the component (s) purchased by the customer and covered by this agreement were used components when purchased. Unless otherwise stated. REPLACED COMPONENTS: In the event the component (s) are replaced under this agreement they will be replaced by used components of like kind and quality, allowing proration of mileage of 15,000 per year/1,250 miles per month. Unless otherwise agreed upon by Remington Auto Salvage, Inc. REPAIRED COMPONENTS: If the components are repaired under the terms of this agreement they will be repaired with components of like kind and quality. LABOR TO REPAIR OR REPLACE PARTS: Remington Auto Salvage, Inc. will pay for labor for the removal and replacement of such component (s) or part (s) at a State Certified and Licensed Repair Facility per the published book time schedule for such repair at a rate not to exceed the Repair Facility’s published rate. REIMBURSEMENT FOR PARTS: Remington Auto Salvage, Inc. may elect to reimburse the customer for the purchased component (s) or component parts purchased from Remington Auto Salvage, Inc. for an amount equal to the purchase price for the component (s) or component parts covered under this agreement, which was paid to Remington Auto Salvage, Inc. by the customer and a reasonable allowance for the labor required to remove and replace the damaged component (s) or component parts. LIMITATIONS ON WARRANTY PAYMENTS: The maximum to be paid by Remington Auto Salvage, Inc. for the repair, replacement, reimbursement, including allowing for labor charges will be in the amount equal to or less than 1.5 times the purchase price paid by the customer to Remington Auto Salvage, Inc.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Remington Auto Salvage, Inc. reserves the right to inspect the component (s) or part (s) covered by this agreement prior to any repair or replacement of or reimbursement for such component (s) or part (s) is authorized.

*Under no circumstances will intake gasket failure be covered by this warranty.

This agreement and limited warranty IS VOID  if:

1. Remington Auto Salvage, Inc. is not provided a reasonable opportunity for inspection of a covered component prior to removal, repair, or replacement of any covered components.
2. The customer does not use new tune up equipment, oil, seals, and oil filter prior to the operation of the components.
3. The damaged to the component is caused by a non-covered component or part or by any part or component not purchased from Remington Auto Salvage, Inc.
4. The customer fails to follow the minimum maintenance requirements suggested by the manufacture and fails to provide proper service documents.

EXTENDED SERVICE AGREEMENT AND LIMITED WARRANTY TRANSFERABILITY: This due agreement is provided to the original purchaser and is nontransferable. It does not cover damage to misuse, neglect, or accident.

NO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR AGREEMENTS: There are no agreements or warranties, expressed or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, other than those stated in this agreement. Remington Auto Salvage, Inc. shall not be responsible for the payment of damages, other than the sums specified in this agreement and limited warranty, for incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from injury, loss of use, loss of time, rental vehicles, profits, or income to the customer as a result of a failure of any component or part.

TOWING CHARGES: All towing charges incurred are the responsibility of the customer.

NO OTHER AGREEMENT: There are no other agreements between the parties with regards to the components purchased except as stated in this agreement and limited warranty.
